All I harvest is wheat and Milo so the corn issue isn't one that I was aware of. Besides, I personally feel 19 to 20 mph is far plenty fast enough going down the road. The tractor and grain cart usually don't run faster than that trying to save on the tires and Dad's 860 can't keep up with it so with our operation it works just fine. I'm probably splitting hairs myself Tom with liking the length of that feederhouse to make it easier for me to see it feeding in but it also works nicer in able being to see both sides of the plat as well. I imagine it still comes down to just what you are used to and preference. Very small issue to debate.

lOl!! Your so funny or brain washed i dont no which!! I bet you have never ran a 9600. If you had you would no better than to bash them. I have been around R72s and they didnt impress me at all.

Well, the 62's did impress me and if they are that good I can only imagine what a 72 is capable of.........Now, saying that, I own a 9600. This fricking paint bash crap is the farthest thing from my mind and it irritates me to no end when it starts. We know that 9600 is a good machine and it has some problems. I don't care. What I'm wanting to know is how much more improvments were made to the 75 over the 72. Not comparing what I have now to what's availble in agco silver for the 2003 crop year. I know what my 9600 will do Green. I know it's capabilities. I also know how long I'll keep it and it will not boil down to anything pro or con to a green color tells me on here. With that said, can we stop this before it blows out of proportionIJ All I'm trying to do is find the strong points and the pros of the r75 only comparing it to it's previous model. If I can't here, I know kelly can set me up, but I can't sit in my underwear and type and read then...*grin*

Improvements to the five series are:better cab visibility, more lights, better ventilation, most used controls at your right hand,in line shifting, better grain loss monitoring, eye level guages, standard electric concave adjustment, optional 14 inch unloading tube, speed reductoin in the hydro to give more torque, and moving hydro pump to quiet operation.

I was thinking of asking Ed for a steak myself. I am sure he could give a way better tour as he is just a farmer! :) lots of interest in that Massey especially from other color drivers. Kelly

Yes, there is. Maybe there will be a field day on the performance of that machine this summer if we have any wheat to cut at allIJ Call blondie across the street and see if he want's to try and compete with an sts.........I will be on hand to watch that demonstration! Heh heh.....that could be fun. I know this is a bit off subject but how sales been over there latelyIJ Our milo in this small area was just plainly pathetic. I had a 65 acre bottom that went all into round bales. You guys had alot more moisture east of us I was under the impression. Pretty good harvest for youIJ

Nothing spectacular in the yield department over our way but probably better than your direction. Sales are off a little due to weather concerns although I think our soil moisture situation is better now than at the same time last year. A good snowfall or 2-3 inches of rain would sure help. I won't address the guys across the street "here". Glad to see that you can see the truth and are not looking through "green glasses". later Kelly

Kelly. I give all colors a fair shake at first. I ran an sts this past summer that a good friend of mine here rented. I think you rented him an R62 the previous year........which is also where my imfo about it came from. For what the sticker was on that sts..........vs.............what it did. It was very depressing. I did see some features that I did like but they were extras that didn't help so much with the machines threshing ease as it did operater ease. I'm talking like the lights that shine inside the backend at night and the switch that put the chopper up to cut or down to lay a windrow. But, I didn't feel the value was there for the dollar. (not that any of them are nowadays new in my opinion) Now, that's all I'm going to talk about the subject "here" as well.
