Combines rebuilding concaves

I bought new set of concaves from worthinton parts in southwest minn. They are to be used for small grain or beans dont have to change. has anyone used them I like them .

Just curious as to how you would know if you needed to change your pinch pointIJ I understand the concept but don't know what would result from it being out of adjustment. I'm just a rookie with my axial flow but would like to learn.

If the pinch point is too far left or right it tends to over load the shoe on that side. If your machine has the two piece concaves the pinch point should be on the seventh and eight concave counting down from where the concave bolts together. On the newer machines with the one piece concave the pinch point is on the 12th to 14th concave counting down from the top.
