I'd say that would be quite possible. In a nutshell thats basicly what I was thinking. The main difference is I want to try to have the bar made entirely of rubber.(I'm using the term rubber cause its easier to spell) I talked to the local rubber extruders and they said they can "co-extrude" a rubber bar that would have an abrasive resistant bar side and a rigid bottom side for mounting in the concave. He's a semiretired farmer, so he still spends some time running a combine for the boys, but he has been doing the seed plate thing for many years.
