Thanks for answering my single, most important question, which relates to the post above! You've NEVER sat your "sorry @ss in an STS (you admit you don't know much about them) so you DON'T KNOW!!! Thank you, IHC-AFS, for answering this VERY SIMPlE question. As far as posting in the Case forum; - I've seldom IF EVER posted anything in the CASE forum! I read it once in awhile, but seldom (if ever) post to it. What I DO know is that the 9650STS excelled over my uncles 2388, NO EXCEPTIONS, especially in weedy barley and green stem beans. Those of us who have had the luxury of "experiencing" this truely pity those of you who either rely on second hand (and VERY inaccurate) information, or fabricate "mysterious" stories of Deere's inabilities.

The truly "sad" part of this entire situation is the fact that CaseIH actually builds a very good combine; - it's just ignorant "deere hunters" or "red worshippers" that make us want to "hate" them! My uncle acknowledges the 9650's greater capacity, but I doubt whether he'll ever buy one; - he has AlWAYS received excellent service from both, his axial-flow combine AND his dealer. He has adequate capacity to harvest his crop "on time", so why move to a larger machineIJ
