Haven't talked to the dealer yet. I think the only reason sales are down is because the machine is new. lots of people I know wait a few years for the companies to work the bugs out of a machine before they would buy one. I'm willing to bet sales well pick up in a few years.

I'll take that bet and wager that NH CR combines will not be sold in the US in under 5 yearsIJ It's my belief that the company goes all RED here in the states and Australia within this time frameIJ also no blue large tractorsIJ JD

Now that some of the glitches have been eliminated, yes it is performing. It is an awesome combine. At least 25% more capacity than a TR98. 160 acres in 45 bus. wheat in 10 hours, is no problem. Averaged about 15 acres per hour throughout harvest, a good 4 acres per hour more than the TR98. last year to take off 1700 acres we put on about 180 hours on the TR98, and this year we took off about 1800 with the CR940, and put on 124 hours. On the down side, I am not happy with the chopper, and the seat is a piece of crap. The chopper deosn't spread far enough. Hopefully that will be addressed. The computer takes some getting used too, but it too is an awesome addition, with the automatic crop changes etc. From what I have heard about the CaseIH version, the CR will be around for a long, long time. I don't think there is a combine that will touch it. There is someone that I know in northern Alberta, that just bought a CR970, and took off 160 acres of 55 bus wheat in 5 hours. I am not sure what else is capable of doing that. So far, I am impressed.

Wanna bet ColeIJ All wheeled US built equipment comes down the same line nowIJ Tractors are almost the same, combines similar. The US and AUS are under the watchful I eye of a former Case higher upIJ A better Red dealer network with Red sales well above NH's. The handwriting was posted on the wall with the demise of the Genesis and TR platformsIJ They are no different now than any of the other makes. Just making slow swirl around the toilet bowl as we speak! JD

I like my cr920. Just starting on a few early beans and today in ocrn. Have not put any long hours in, but I agree the seat could be a lot better. The combine takes some getting used to, but I am getting so I really like it. Capacity is great. Should have 25ft on it, but 6 row 180 bpa corn, 5 mph seems to be enough on the engine. Do not have electronic contral, so I can not tell the % engione load. The computor is great, with the grain loss monitor really working. A weekend update took care of a problem with the stone dooor. I doubt if you see the demise of the NH combine line as some feel. The Grand Island plant produces both and there is no doubt that market share overseas is very good for the NH brand. No reason not to produce NH and ship in the US. From what I hear the 8010 does not have the features of the NH. Could be added tough, I am sure.

I think the CR looks to be a fine machine,but a Claas 480 lexion on tracks holds the world wheat harvesting record and no other make tried to beat it this year. It was set in England in Aug harvesting 1080 tons of 150bu_acre Claire winter wheat in 15 hours,the 480 is now superseeded by the awesome 512hp 580!!!

scooter, be glad you don't have the eletronic fuel control! a friend with a older 9600 JD just spent somewhere around 2500.00 on his fuel system. the motherboard had to be replaced along with an updated cable to match with mothboard. That piece of cable, about 12 inches long cost 400.00! Another cable to go from the fuel pump that was about 24inches long cost 500.00! They had the injection pump rebuilt too, something about if you replace that cable and not the motherboard it would ruin the injection pump or vice versa I don't really know but it was an expensive repair that really is not a necessity for a motor to runIJ And then Sat morning, my 8320JD cut off in the middle of the road. Could not get it to start. Primed and bled for an hour or so with no luck. Finally pulled into a field and called my dealer. Mechanic came yesterday morning and worked for a couple hrs, he concluded the computer that sends the voltage to the injection pump had gone badIJ He said that tractor has 9 different computers on itIJ Never would have had this problem if there was not eletronics controlling the fuel on either one of these motors! I'm going to give the Buhler's a try next time, the Genesis is the best tractor going even if it is 10 year old technology. I would still be using them if NH hadn't of screwed that up too!!!!! JD

Isn't the CR and AFX based off a TX frame and platformIJ Isn't the TX built in EuropeIJ I'm telling ya, NH is as good as gone here. Just doesn't have the numbers to play in todays game here in the US. And if Fiat liquidates CaseIH and NH from it's portfolio, which brand stands the best chance of getting picked up by someone elseIJ Who's gonna pick the one that does half the business here in the USIJ JD From what I hear and this came from a NH owner who posts here quite often, the AFX is quite the machine as he went to a demo earlier this fall. Yes, it's a maze but is it really any worse than the CRIJ

JD, I just think it's what area you live in. Here CIH and NH both sell as good as each other. You are right that there will not be NH's everywhere but I think in the whole world NH will hold it's own. In that area I think NH is the stronger one of the two so if any thing red may have the problemIJ CNH stock price has been going up so sunny days are just aheadIJ Ilnh
