Harvester, if I may ask how do you get to run all of these different makes of combinesIJ I would love to do that. Some brands of combines (dealers) will never make it to my farm because they know I will not buy one. How much time did you get in a CRIJ What size was itIJ Thanks, Ilnh

I am confused- my TR's threw heavy on the outside and the distribution plates were put in to redirect some of the grain to the center. A CR would have to reverse the rotation of the rotors to be heavy in the center and therefore require a hump to redirect the grain to the outside- opposite of the TR. Of cousrse the grain has to be level. admit I have never been around the 3d sieve, but that has to something programmed by designer. If the slope is 5% we shake this pan with x amount of side to side. I am almost sure different weight crops would require a y vrs an x amount of shake. How is this controlledIJ This can not be as good as the laws of physics which a selfleveling shoe. A slope indicator and an actuator. No false assumtions by a designer.

Simple. Don't proclaim any public loyalty to a brand and let all the dealers believe they have a chance to sell you their combine. I also get to work on quite a few of the neighbors' combines, since I work cheaper than a dealer, which lets me get around not only their field performance, but some wrenchwork too. Second, I'm not exactly a spring chicken, if you know what I mean. The CR I ran last fall late in the season was in some late soybeans and corn. It was a CR960, which NH is calling a class 7. Some things I like about it, but there are still some things about the TR I like better, such as being able to work myself on the TR.

I guess that's my problem, I have had NH since 1977 and the other dealers think thats all I will buyIJ They may be rightIJ I did get to try a JD 9600 back a few years from a nice JD dealer but he is gone now and the local JD dealer says JD is the best so why do you need to try one just buy it. Did also get to demo a R52 once, and have an uncle that has one. liked the cab very much on the Gleaners. Other things I didn't like on them. Didn't really care for the Gleaner heads much at all. Thanks for your reports on the combines and I hope you get to spend more time in a CR this year. Ilnh
