I don't like the stone trap for it can hurt feeding at times. I have seen the back feed chain jump a cog when trap was in which means the crop wasn't making a nice transition into rotor from feed chain. Yes that chain can jump a cog anyway in corn if the stripper isn't installed. I would install the trap in very rocky conditions and close up door in normal manner with rock hump installed for the rare rock. Hope that helps. Dan
