By the time the grain gets to the expanding area it should already be threshed the expansion is to free up the material to release grain and avoid the roping and matting that can occur in rotors so even unthreshed seconds are going to have a better chance of getting to be repeated than going out the back. The repeats then come back in over the second or middle concave getting a better go at rethreshing by going over two concaves before re entering the expanding separation area rather than entering over the third and last on the Case before entering the separation area. In an effort to increase capacity you could put the third concave in a large wire but on the Case that was your repeats so things had to be pretty right threshing wise before this was much help. As far as the after market side as long as they fix the problems if they arise there's not much more you can ask for from them . Good luck.
