We ran a 9750 with the "rice package" last year. We ran through about 1500 acres with little more than "learning curve" problems. Never slugged the rotor even though we cut quite a bit of heavy lodged rice. Stuff that would have had my previous 2188 spitting belts and rotor parts. Thoroughly impressed with the machine's toughness. We didn't compare it to the CTS as far as capacity. Did get in the field with a 2388 and I thought our losses were considerably less going the same speed. Both machines would do a good job of throwing rice out the back if you pushed them too much. Threshing was complete on the 9750 even at slow rotor speeds with concaves wide open. Separation was the limiting factor. We tried different combinations of concave types and removing wires in the concaves. The best seemed to be a standard large wire concave in the front, second and third concaves with every other wire removed. We didn't put the machine in any crop other than rice.
