Thats what the old paper clip is for, to keep the auger running. I thought that was why they made the connection so accessible.

Would like to have auto header height control for corn head. Would also like to have better inside cab lighting for console and light switches.

Tom, You are exactly right about the concave adjustment. It is electric, not hydraulic. There is a guage outside of cab, mounted to front side of grainbin. The way I understand it,there is a cable that comes up to a guage that moves back and forth. Now,if it is anything like the old guage pointer on the fan choke of the old N-Series,I can't see how it will be very accurate. With todays electronics, there has to be a way to have a sensor read where the concave is set at and convert that to a digital monitor in the cab.Come on guys, this is the 90's not the 70's.Maybe Dibber can comment on how well his worked this year.My opinion only, Hyper Harvest II

Bobby, I agree with most of what you say, but I really like having the unloader off_on button on the backside (use pinky finger) of the hydro lever, and having the reel lift below isn't bad either. Just keep it that way instead of going to the joystick thing CaseIH and Claas_Cat have.

I heard that Deere built a prototype combine based almost purely on Gleaner rotary technology! I was never sure if this was true or not; - is this the machine you're referring toIJ If so, could you tell me a little about itIJ

After reading most all of the comments a few stand out to me. I used to realy like the auto corn head speed , elvevator chain are a pain to ajust. climat control in the cab is needed badly

I definitely like auto corn head speed. It was actually easier to mount the pickup on a Hugger. Tom Russell

We have the automatic concave adjust on our machine. It works really well. It is simple and easy to install. It could be put on any of the newer machines. The cable indicator is kind of crude but it does work. You just have to make sure the linkage is set right so you get an accurate reading. Once it is calibrated I don't think it would change, but it isn't hard to check to make sure you are getting an accurate reading on your indicator gauge.
