Case has had that for a really long time and it works great...sometimes you have to adjust the screen... In 2 years they will be color and that will be really cool so i think its for the best.. But then again anytime john deere does something case does or has im guessing its for the best :)

What about this one: http:__www.terre-net.fr_ulf_TNM_Biblio_Fiches_Fiche_1425_20022005132755.JPG http:__www.dada.at_gems_oekl_Hofbauer.pdf https:__www.deere.com_fr_FR_documentation_isobus.pdf It is the All new Greenstar 2100 Display (21 cm ~ 8,3 inch, colour lCD) shown on 6020 series tractors, was first shown on Agritechnica 2003 in Germnay. Introduced in europe in Summer 2005. Useable as ISO-Bus terminal (like the Fendt Vario terminal),as Performance Monitor, full greenstar functions (Autotrac...) will be availiable January 2006.

JD can't get their current electronics to work right. How will it be, if they put more of it inIJ With low grain prices and higher input cost per acre, how do you pay for all these gadgets and gismos, that do not increase productivityIJ

But it's not just Deere, everybody(CASENH,AGCO,etc) have problems, so don't just put Deere out there on a limb. I've never had a (MAJOR) electronic problem out of my 9860STS combine so far, but I can't speak for others with JD,etc. I agree about grain prices,I was just suggesting things that I beleive would help farmers, like greenstar etc, have,I'm a young farmer and I like tech, it makes life easier, didn't say who could afford it,because the way things are going, you can't hardly afford to farm, but that isn't going to stop tech in the AG industry to continue to progress, this mayt be our last combine purchase for awhile, if the current outlook on the ag market keeps up..

I have a masters degree in electrical engineering and of course like electronics, but if it's causing more trouble and break downs than without, what is it good for. For example, one year we had an STS sitting in the field for three days, because the electronic had quit working. You can't even raise the header and move it, when this happens. JD worked all three days trying to fix it, swapped a number of bords and were amazed at the hundreds of error codes that thing would spit out. In the end it was a corroded contact at the moisture sensor causing the havoc. This combine could have cut enough acres in three days to make a payment. Every year we have to replace printed bords on some combines. And the new 60 series are not any better. The feeder reverser only works part time, the new multilink connector leaks and the cable breaks, the upside down header buttons don't work in slow motion (luckily one can do without),the moisture meter is as unreliable as before. That's just on the electronic side. So far we had to change more parts on our two new machines, than we did on our five year old ones. And what about this big number of 8.1 l engines blowing up this summer. JD's quality problems are staggering. I can't speak for other brands, but it doesn't seem to be much better. That's why Deere has no trouble remaining n1.

Your reverser problems might be that the oil is leaking past the piston that puts the reverser in gear. When oil gets behind this piston it can not engage the whole way. Drill a hole to let the oil out on the dry side of piston and your problem will be fixed. It worked for us.
