Apparently they come in sweet varieties and sour varieties, but which plants do you think produce the tastiest fruits? Are they typically easy or hard to grow?

None. I'm sorry, maybe it's a required taste, but I've always found kumquats repulsive. I think it's really cool that you're supposed to eat the skin in order to enhance the flavor of the inner flesh, but it's just gross.

Nagami Kumquats are probably the easiest to grow, and I believe they're the most popular variety in the United States. They are very productive trees.
I think they're best used in a marmalade or a liqueur rather than eaten as is.
