Threats to food security

The ever-growing world population growth keeps heaping pressure on the food system, thus increasing the demand for food. Apart from the increasing energy and food prices, new plant and animal diseases, and climate change, what are the other threats to food security?

Constraints due to COVID-19 and the threat of economic collapse aren't helping. However, we are producing more than enough food and in the United States especially, we waste a ton of it (including me).
