Sad to say we live in a monetary society and its also sad that is not based on a good neighbor system anymore. I will be the first to admit I want that system back so bad but it just isnt going to happen. In this (business) anymore you have to dot the I's and cross the T's and be careful who you are doing it with. I used the honor system on ebay, bought a gravel truck and asked specifically the conditions of it. I was informed it was a good used vehicle but was wrecked. Unfortunately it was more than wrecked, it had been used to haul fertilizer and had rust all over. I drove 500 miles to pick it up and decided I would hold up my end of the bargain because I did know it was used, but didnt know it was used for other purposes than gravel. I was upset and yes I do feel like I got a lil bit took on the deal and I also learned never to trust someones word on certain things. In the good old days these guys would be hung I guess, but thats the honor system and we dont use it today. Yes his dealer should have been hung or else returned the moneys to the propers. I hear of alot of livestock barns and grain dealers that play the board and loose alot of customers money. My advice I give I wish I would use myself more often but even I take a chance now and then and get burnt from it. Im sorry I dont feel its a machinery manufacturers responsibilty to take care of illegitimate business deals. That dealer was responsible for this dispair from what I understand, Agco should go after the dealer as well but probably wouldnt get anything out of him.
