Illinois Gleaner, you are absolutely correct. I have no facts. The original claimant was unwilling to reveal them to us. He merely wanted to complain. Thanks for giving us your understanding of the situation. It certainly has taken a long time for you or your friend to be forthcoming with specific details and even now at this late date, facts arent altogether clear and are somewhat contradictory.

How do we know that this guy and the dealer did not have something worked out that he would give the dealer a check and the dealer would deposit it to make it look like it ws paid and then pay him back some how. Maybe there are 2 crooks here.

Hello SilverShoes, Yes, I had a similar ebay experience with a used highway tractor as well. In spite of the sellers misrepresentation, I voiced my concerns but still ended up "cutting a check"! I DID, however, give him a NEUTRAl rating on ebay, completely stating the circumstances and advising any ebayers to reserve right of first refusal upon inspection. I also ask for right of refusal on such items and, when refused, I don't bid. Sad to see where times have taken us! Best of luck and best wishes! MG

Did the same this summer with 2 tractors and combine.All the payment notices came from Agco finance and that's where I sent payments.Got a paid in full contract back from Agco finance too.
