Back in 50's and 60's and 70's my dad use to tell me a story (I heard this story ever time I though about buying anything) of a neighbor taking two thousand bushels of corn to town and buying a new m farmall and the corn paid for it, I believe the year was 1951 he was talking about. I think he said corn was over two dollars bushel.

Those days are long over. One of the problems with farming is that there is no clean way to retire from the business. You really cannot sell out.
