How about a 2001 custom harvest machine with the 14" swivel option. Boy I bet that thing will spill a bunch in a hurry if you miss the truck. I'm unsure but maybe the 14" will have the extended spout also. I like the swivel for its quite, smooth, fast, and simple

I would extend the flighting in bottom of tank to within about 3_8" from bushing support. That will decrease the dead area in universal area and helps alot. I use the 1_4" replacement flighting to extend the present flighting. Be sure the flighting in swing tube extends toward ujoint beyond the end pipe it is welded to. Some machines have that flighting bent so it is flush with end of pipe and that would increase dead area around the ujoint. I don't worry about folding full for the inward and outward throw of these augers is dampened very well. I think it was in the late 80s that they started dampening both ends of the stroke of the swing cylinders. The earliest R50's have a kit to dampen the stroke a little more. I think I would clean out the swivel bearing when you have it off and then maybe grease it a little more often.

we have a l3 with the old swivel style and we have taken ours off and the inside auger in about 45 minutes.
