mo-farm: I don't think I've read anyone say that you shouldn't collect your govt checks. But why close your borders to grain that American companys wantIJ You admit that Canadian grain isn't subsidised, so there is no reason to put a duty on Canadian wheat going to the U.S.A. Collect your checks and leave us less fortunate farmers alone (PlEASE) Neil

Sorry if I have come across too strongly, but I'm only defending the Canadian farmer. I personally do not support our system of marketing wheat,as this system by law makes me sell all my exportable wheat to the C.W.B.which in turns exports it to BUYERS around the world and in Canada. So I do sell my grain where I farm and pay taxes, where it goes after that isn't up to me. "Enough said". Neil

I agrees. Is it the same in canada as in U.S. Grocery in stores (food) keep going up, and farm prices keep going down. got one question what kind of price does your C.W.B. payIJ Bob

Bob:At the present time we are paid,n1 Hard Red Wheat,14.5% protein....$5.54_bushel Canadian. n1 Amber Durum,14.5% protein...$4.86_bushel Canadian. Some interesting reading would be for you to get a copy of what the American millers and pasta makers said in their presentation to the U.S. International Trade Commission on Oct. 2002. I think it will surprise you and your fellow American farmers. Yes, everything is going up except farm commodity prices. Neil

Bob: I hope the prices I quoted are right. I sell very little wheat as I try to only grow grains outside of the C.W.B.'s control. Neil
