The canadians have banned all animal by products that gose into feed scince 1996_97. I have a relative that works for a big feed company, and told me that canada alone with the european countryies were one of the first to bann such products. I have to agree with the reeper on some of his points and i also now that some farmers are not doing so well in the us as well. I still say it is a set up for not helping go to war. I don't care how may times you go to war you will not change some thing that gose back to 3000 yrs. This is my 2 cents, i now this has hurt evey one not just the farmer

I am by no means an expert but my marketing letter explains that the US only exports 10% of its beef production. Canada exports 50% of their's. Thats got to make a heck of a difference when exports stop. The reason our boarder has been closed to Canada has been because we didn't want our exports to Korea and Japan put in jepardy.

Even if the cow in question did originate in Canada that doesnt mean it contracted the disease there. If one uses the logic that since it came from Canada( and was infected in Canada) then can we also assume that the lone case in Canada originated in the US( because YES our infected cattle had been imported from the US)

Don,t forget the hog industry in all this. We had a miserable year last year due to all the canadian hogs coming across the border I realilze some of this was self inflicted as some producers continue to buy canadian instead of u.s. Maybe our weakening dollar will take care of some of this.

I would like to know what the average age of the farmers are in other countriesIJ last I heard, I beleve it was in the 60's in the USA. It won't be too long and you will not have to worry about THE AMERICAN FARMER. Don't you see, they don't let use make money either. It's called a cheap food policy, and we don't know how much more we can take. Our equipment and chemical corporations rip us off, and practically give it away in other countries. I could go on and on, but the average age of your Farmers, tells the story of the farm economics in your country. I wish everybody a great year!

lets not get into name calling or finger pointing here. What really needs to happen with both are countries is to get those who have the power to listen to those of us who do what we have to do, that being feed the world, and make food worth what it should be. I would find it alot easier to live comfortably if I was paid a fair price for my product
