Utilizing limited space

How would you fully utilize a 1-acre farm? Some options I have gathered include raising worms to sell as bait, growing gourmet or medicinal mushrooms, creating fishing lakes for paying customers or raising specialty animals like llama, ostriches, or deer.

Oh, fun topic! Floriculture is my specialty, but if I was looking for something new and had a 1-acre farm I would probably start a U-pick operation. I'd start with blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries because they mature and begin setting fruit quickly. I might add blueberries, if the market was right. I'd probably start some hives as well since the bees would help with pollination and easy nectar would support the hives.

This is a great topic. I love the idea of a U-pick farm. How about growing corn and having a corn maze? I've never heard of a worm farm but that sounds pretty interesting.
