After giving him a "trial", invite EVERY major TV network in the world (Especially Al Jazeera) to witness the death of the creep by a firing squad using bullets dipped in pig blood. This would accomplish two major objectives in the "War on Terrorism". It would eliminate Saddam and send a message to terrorists that they are not going to enjoy their virgins in Heaven due to being contaminated by that nasty pig blood! It worked before! Just my opinion- Tom langan

Unless I am mistaken, this is the first head of state War Criminal caught externally. Most of the top leaders of WWII guilty enough to be put on trail committed self imposed dismissal. The guy I can't spell from Romania was the last deposed one from within huhIJ

Another was Pol Pot of Cambodia. He was on the run for nearly two decades before being found. He later died a seemingly natural death as an old man in rural Cambodia. Most would say that Pol Pot was responsible for far more deaths than Saddam could ever even remotely claim.

I was under the impression that Pol Pot was never found and that his death has never been confirmedIJ

Pol Pot was actually found in northwest Cambodia in the mid 90's and interviewed by a Western journalist at that time. Khmer Rouge irregulars continued to operate in Cambodia well into the 90's and he hung out with them apparently. He claimed not to have been responsible for the terrible things that happened in Cambodia. In poor health, he died a natural death on April 16,1998. He never faced formal charges.

All that and then drag his dead body behind a Hummer past all his mansions, and let all the Iraqi people take a swing at him. No wait, do this first and then do the above mentioned execution.

So what you are advocating is to stoop to the very level that he was onIJ Absolutely brilliant plan that will sure to gain the US even more "allies" in the region. I'm hoping that civility takes over and that he is given an OPEN and fair trial by the Iraqi people. Throwing him in jail for eternity would be better then killing him and making him a martyr for his remaining supporters. Remember that this guy was evil, and did many things to his own people, but even the US government admits he had no connections to Bin ladens network, and thus hasnt been connected to 9_11. I fear that since alot of Americans have managed to connect Saddam,in their own mines, with 9_11 that a US backed may never be unbiased. We all know the guy is guilty but let him be convicted on actaul evidence in an open court of law. Dragging him through the streets( I assume you were being sarcastic) will only serve to add to Middle Easts distrust or western nations.

yes I agree as well that if we are going to help rebuild a law abiding country we must be very aware that every move will be watched and so must take the high road...That being said I don't mean in any detail that justice should not swiftly and fully be carried out.
