Welcome treat for the cows

The neighboor kids were feeding the cows apples today. It was fun watching the littles interact with the cows. They were handing out apples, the cows were eating out of their hands. A couple of times you could hear the real little ones say gross when the cows tongue came out.

Oh ha ha... I get it for sure. I remember feeding a cow an apple as a child. When that tongue came out, I literally tossed the apple. That thing was so long and huge. It's scary for children!

There is nothing as cute as feeding them with apples. Cattle seem to love carrots as well. As kids, we cherished doing so too. After a while, we got used to seeing the tongues come out.

As a kid, I used to get scared when the tongue came out. It was always fun getting close to and feeding the cows. Somehow, doing so endeared me to farm animals and farming in general!
