Good grief, if all the market needs is a new label, stick 7010 decals on 2388's and call it a new model and be done with it!

You have a very valid point, ihc-afc! Change the sheet metal, improve the cab and relabel it. CaseIH could easily run another 10 years out of the 2388 and still keep up to the competiion.

Its obvious you have never spent much time behind a wheel of another combine. The IH combine has a feeding problem in tough straw.

thats funny that a guy with a name mostly green would say you havent spent much time behind the wheel. I think its him that hasnt because we have an afx rotor and do high moisture grain and have no feeding problems....."mostly green" naaah

We had Axial-Flow combines up until our 2166, and had little problems with them. Prior to that, we had 2 915's. We installed the stone-trap option on our 1660 and found it helped with feeding (somewhat) in green, stemmy conditions. Our current Deere 9650 (walker) is only the second Deere combine we've owned, and we only migrated from CaseIH on account of our local dealership; - not the combine itself. My neighbors 2388 has no problem keeping up to a Deere 9660STS.

I never accused anyone of "never having spent much time behind the wheel"! I KNOW I spent considerable time "behind the wheel" during our ownership of 5 different axial-flows, and I still believe the 2377's and 2388's compare well to any comparable class combine on the market today.

No problem! A "slip of the keystroke" happens to the best of us! ;-)
