Wells

Anyone here have a well on their property for personal use? If so, what kind of acreage does it sit on? I just want to see if other states are as restrictive with wells is regards to how big of a lot you can drill on to make a well. Where I live it's 2 acres minimum.

I live in the country well outside of city boundary no restrictions for artesian well our well over flows 4 months out of the year,but inside city lines one would need permit certain hours well can be drill.

We live on 30 acres so no problem having a well

However, at the time our well was drilled - had we lived a little further west than we do we would have been in a different water management region than we are in. If we were in that other region we would have had to put a water meter on our well and been "accessed" if we used more water than they allowed us ... fortunately for us, the region we are in does not have such restrictions
