Combines whatIJ

Somthing really WIDE! Farmers who buy this 9950 thing will probably also have to build an Airplane hanger to keep the monster in. I can't believe that anyone would want anything bigger than that 9750. I am a piddling farm operation by today's standards, but If I had all that territory to cover I would rather have two 9650s or 9750s than one of these new green giants that are in the works.

The better question is how do they plan to haul awayIJ With today's combines we have trouble keeping up. One can't just plan to add more and more semis, grain carts, and bins.

You are right about that! My neighbor has an new 9650 STS, and he was sometimes sitting in the field for 15 minutes waiting for his trucks to get back from his elevator, and he had two tandems running. I had my two single axle trucks and my JD grain cart, sitting across the road, where I was working with my old 4400. I saw him sitting over there waiting and I knew it would be a while before I got both my trucks filled. so I called him on the CB and told him to come borrow my grain cart so he could get back in the field, and then auger the beans into one of his trucks when it got back. He says he is going to trade the tandems for a couple of semis before next year.

I like fender stratocasters. I like the color green. Not neccessarily deere green. One time I saw a green strat that I really wanted bad, but couldn't bear to cut loose the 900 bucks it cost because as you already know from my other posts I am cheap. Anyhow, my handle "greenstrat" sounded ok, since noone else had it. Guess I should have changed it to something like "see the leader" shoot..already taken!! Hey, I want to go get the brush burner...
