Actually if you look at the Agco home page they are bragging about Massey being number one in the world and Fendt being the technology leader. No mention of Allis or Gleaner or well you get the idea.

Yeah, started with combines. Ended up with planters. Had some balers, tractors, and power plants thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed it also.

I don't know that it has a name. It is owned by Alliant Energy, formerly Interstate Power. The buildings are still at the site, which also has a coal-fired plant. The actual town is Genoa, Wis. I took a picture from an Allis history book I have called "An Industrial Heritage: Allis-Chalmers Corporation" I think it's out of print now, but was published in 1978. Just click on the link to see the pictures.

well illinois gleaner, lets see here who did allis chamlers sell out tooIJ they sold out cause they couldn't make it too. Deutz Allis and their sales stinked but then agco came in to the picture and bought them out and then made agco but they had to buy other companies to make it go, other wise agco wouldb't be here, Massey and agco need each other period! agco said when they bought massey that they needed them to strive in sales well their sales were low before that but when they bought them they went up hmmmm wonder whyIJ agco also said they wanted a strong presence in the overseas market well they got it with masseyIJ face it massey makes agco as does fendt without them there would be no agco. allen

massey is now prototyping a new combine like the white 8590 for a bigger capacity combine they say it will be big they are just having problems finding a big capacity hydrostat pump to run the rotor. we had friends that had an 8590 white machine they run a 9650sts now but they say that the 8590 would put their 9650 to shame period and these are dies hard deere people now, they did say that whoever got it needed to fine tune some things but other than that they loved it and woudl love to go back to one like it. allen
