We are first generation farmers who decided to get into farming because it looked like fun. We got started with Gleaner because the guy who sold seed had one and we figured we could set ours the same as his. This took all guesswork out of running a combine. We are in Mcleod county MN about 60 miles west of the Twin Cities where we raise corn and soys. Tom Russell

I'm about 25 miles north of you at losantville. I have a portion of the family farm since 1852. Have 3 Farmall Hs and an F20. No combine as of yet. I cash rent my token acreage. I am an analyst for a brokerage firm in Indianapolis and crunch numbers on municipal bond issues. Farm on the side to keep my sanity.

Smart move on your crop mix. My neighbors are now about 75% beans and 25% corn. Making more profit (er should say losing less) per acre with that mix in these depressed markets.

Hello. I'm from Saginaw, Michigan. At this time though, I'm going to Michigan State University in East lansing, Michigan. We have corn, soybeans, wheat (red and white),sugar-beets, cranberry beans, pinto beans, red kidney beans, black beans, and navy beans. Currently we have 4 Gleaner F's and one F2. last fall we purchased a nice used Case-IH 1660 Axial Flow, but my dad hasn't been in it yet! He likes the Gleaner combines. They have worked well for us over the years. We keep everything in tip-top to keep them going though. The newer machine is nice though. Happy harvesting everyone! ;-)

Hi, I'm in east cental Iowa, about 20 miles east of Iowa City. I farm 480acres total, 150 corn,150 soybeans, balance hat_pasture for 75 stock cows. I converted from IH 715s to an M3 in 1989. I have a 4-38 corn head and run a JD 454a row crop head. Hard to find good Gleaner heads in this area. lost some acres since I got it, then my Dad passed away, so I got all I can handle solo. TomP
