I would say that's a safe guess. We're in prime deere country and the samples aren't the best. Speaking of corn, I wish I could let our 62 loose in some, I hear they are real monsters in a corn field.
I farm in interlake region of Manitoba ,Canada. Out here we grow a little of everything from cereal grain , to forage seed. We have run our l2 and N6 throuh almost everything. This year we even ran a small field of 20ac of Hemp through the l2 with no problems. Now that was interesting .If I can I'll try and post the pictures.
Just to quickly throw in the foreign angle. We farm about 5000ac in the central part of Queensland Australia, growing sorghum, sunflower, corn, wheat and small areas of a variety of beans. We started with a R50 and are now on our second 62. Keep up the great work on the forum
Hey WW,Good to hear from you. We were about as dry as you were until we recently lucked out and got a rain with the front that came through not too many days ago. We are now planting, maybe ya'll can get some rain out there soon.Sounds like you had a great wheat crop last year, we had the potential, but a freeze in March knocked us back to about 50 bpa. Sorry to hear about your gleaner experience, and it doesn't sound like you have a very good dealer. If you do change colors, just make sure whatever color you go to, you have a good dealer in the area. We either have to go to Dallas or Hillsboro, yeah, a long way to get parts, but that seems to be how all the combine dealers of every make are getting around here. They just let the big parts warehouses in Dallas take care of everything. Anyway, it's good to know there's someone on here in the general area. Hope you get some wet weather soon. Happy planting.
We farm in soutern Minnesota (90 miles south of Minneapolis-St. Paul). Have run M and N5. Now run both '87 R60 and '94 R72. Both current machines are HYPER Harvest Specials.
We buy most of our equipement at Poseyville. We've still got a 4w305 and an 8425 Agcostar. We've had to go into the tranny on the 305, but what would you expect with 360 PTO HP. But it won't keep up with Star. The dealer there takes pretty good care of us. With a little input that I get from this chat room.
