Where To Hang Oriole Bird Feeder

Hello. I'm wondering where to hang an oriole bird feeder. How high should I hang it off the ground if I want to attract some orioles and avoid the neighborhood cats scaring them away?

What type of feeder is it? Just fruit? A cup of syrup? Mealworms? I have my fruit feeder nailed against a tree trunk, but orioles aren't in my area this time of year so I haven't used it recently.

I hung my platform feeder off a tree branch. I placed a baffle around the bottom of the trunk in order to keep the cats from jumping at the birds or climbing the trunk to get at the birds. It works a treat.
