It would be nice if the people who made the decisions which parts to provide to the machines would look outside of the upper midwest. They seem to think that every farm in this country is in the area between Montana and Indiana, and that they all use big new monsters. There are literally thousands of 4-row machines in use in the east, but we're slowly losing our parts supplies, and we can't afford to buy even used big machines. We also like to bale our straw, something that is difficult with rotary combines, as people don't like it chopped up. Anyway, rebuilt_reconditioned machines would fit nicely, but if nobody wants to supply the parts . . . .

I came across a company that produce's gleaner l4 series for about the price of about $115,000.00 Canadian or about $98,000.00 U.S.
