Worried About Older Barn Cat

I have a barn cat. He's an awesome little guy. He's getting older, though. He's about 11 years old now. Lately, I've noticed that he's eating more and seems lazier than usual. I know it's natural for older kitties to slow down some, but I do worry about him. I am taking him to see the vet next week. I hope nothing is wrong with him.

Awww, I bet he is just showing his age. I'm glad you're taking him to the vet though. I've got a few barn cats and a few indoor cats. I'm a cat person!

You are definitely doing the right thing by taking him to the vet. There are several age-related diseases cats can get like hyperthyroid disease and kidney disease, but hopefully he is just fine. Please let us know what happens.
