    Today on the Farm

What did you do on your farm today? It's almost 11am and I have done my morning duties which includes feeding, milking, water troughs, and tending to the calves. It's about 24 degrees outside so I'm going to just sit inside and dream about a vacation to the Cayman islands. What are you up to...

Age for kids to drive small tractor

Back then we didn't have nosey neighbors calling child services because they don't like the way you're teaching your child real world work ethic from a young age. Greening up the cattle operation

It's not rocket science. The issues are trying to scale beef production so big that the natural process can't be replicated. That's my opinion anyway. If all the cows were happy organic cows eating naturally growing grass we'd have enough beef for one burger every 5 years.

Help with buttercups....that are sure to grow in my pastures

Yes the buttercups love compacted soil which horses will cause. To my knowledge there's no easy solution to buttercups because even if you till, weeds are going to survive and eventually come back.

    Mini cows?

They're good. They're more efficient with their consumption and milk production. Great for small farms. Easier to herd. Kids love them. Are you thinking for meat or milk?

How Many Pounds In A Half Ton

This sentiment is key to staying out of trouble. I've seen people way over load or towing way over load and that's all good until something breaks then it became a wasted money doing something stupid kind of day.
