Cost To Replace Oil Pan Gasket

Since I don't know what MX you're talking about, I would suggest Rockauto.com. Their gaskets are up to 50% lower than the brick and mortar competitors. Shop labor would run you about 100 bucks an hour, depending on where you live, and it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to swap it out.

    Harbor Freight Inside Track Club

Their prices are so low to begin with, I never bothered to look into any kind of savings clubs they may have. I go to Home Depot so much for my lumber needs that it's my go-to for everything else. I seldom do HF anymore. I have a neighbor who has it though and he swears it's the greatest thing...

    Garage Expenses

How much money do you think you have dropped on tools and related items since you have been in this career? I've got my eye on a $1,000 rolling tool chest by Craftsman, hoping it will be last tool related expense for at least a year.

    Average Age Is 58

I've known a few who did that. They aged out of their previous career, or were nudged out, took their savings and used it to start this.

    What Is A Tbc Fault

Trailer Brake Controller. You could have a bad connection, bad wiring or a bad fuse. As always, start with the simplest/least expensive possible problem first when diagnosing it.

    Battery Smelling Like Rotten Eggs

Change your battery before it affects your alternator. A battery isn't supposed to have that smell. When a part isn't doing what it's supposed to, or smell like it's supposed to for that matter, it's time for a new one.

    Deere Is Downsizing

Happy New Year everyone! John Deere has announced that it will be downsizing its workforce to match the lowering of its profits. Again. This seems to have been a recurring theme throughout the year, so one has to wonder....are they hanging on to a sinking ship?

    Can I leave them alone?

You should have someone watch over them while you're gone. You really should. Actually........did you? That's quite the variety you have. Horses especially should have daily care.

Dodge 4.7 Liter V8 Engine Problems

Please reconsider.Unless the cost of repairs + the amount you pay for the truck still = the Kelly Blue Book value, don't buy it. That truck can't be your only option, can it?

Fedex Delivery Exception Arrived After Courier Dispatch

Things move slower in December. More people wanting stuff at the same time. If it's a year round problem, try UPS. I've never had a problem with them.

Coffee Exports Decrease with Drought in Central America

I think the main reason coffee prices at the store remain as stable as they do is because of the various locations we get coffee from. Coffee is grown all around the globe, so if one area goes bad we have options.

My top method for keeping water unfrozen

This is going to be a brutal winter in some areas so, really, the only way to keep water from freezing up totally is to keep breaking up the ice that forms

    Protecting Cattle from Predators

I don't think it's effective. If you have 2 or 3 coyotes moving in a pack and one takes the bait, you still have 1 or 2 left that can keep moving in. There are no sure-fire ways to protect cattle from coyotes, but motion sensing lights work as well as anything.

    Executive Women In Agriculture

I'll tell the missus. As entertaining as it is to see myself in a hotel with hundreds of professional women, I'm not 21 anymore. LOL Seriously though, it sounds like a good way to pick up information you think you need or don't realize you didn't have.

    Want winter eggs?

Good points, thank you for sharing that. Another option is to get more hens then you think you need and stockpile the eggs you don't use in the summer. Like squirrels storing nuts. You see that expiration date on the carton of eggs you bought at the store? It's there because the process they go...

    Advice for New Hobby Farmers

Aren't you considered a small farm operation at that point and not a hobby farm anymore? Money draws that line. Also, at that point, taxes come into play. Maybe not a lot, but enough to be paid attention to.

    Drones for precision farming

Not as crop management yet, just as a tool to double-check property lines and the condition of certain fencing I have. I was thinking about doing a lot split not too long ago and wanted a drone to look at the land where it would take place. It comes in handy.

    Implements Let's Talk Generators

I don't know if one could call a generator an implement, but with the winter months setting in I was just curious as to how big of a generator other members have. Do you also have more than one?

Farm Shows National Farm Machinery Show 2020

I keep up with the trends online. Kentucky is too far for me to justify going out there just to look at things I don't need and couldn't afford. If I had a corporate farm with tons of acreage I could justify the cost of getting out there.

How Can We Go Away for the Holidays?

We keep the holidays at home as much as we can. It's kind of sad to think about, but there are people who don't have family, they don't mind working holidays, they don't observe holidays, etc..... If you like to go away during this time, just seek out workers who fit those bills.
