Thanks for being the RandD for the 8010. Thats why I never buy a newly introduced piece of machinery from anybody. There was a farmer in my area that had some major problems with his CR 970 last year. Serious enough to hire custom cutters. He took his back to the dealer, got his money back, and now runs a 9860 STS. So are you going to buy a Cat for next yearIJ Case will probably get the bugs worked out eventually. Its a good thing CNH didn't replace their whole lineup with the 8010_7010. Here is a post I made awhile back in responce to somebody else's post. You might have to copy and paste the whole link. http:__www.harvesting.com_combine_case-ih_general_forum_messages_17102.html

Tony I know what happen the Repubicans got to your combine and sabotage it they heard you were voting for Kerry. Just joking I agree with you my 2388s are way more dependable they need another year to get the bugs out of it.

well I waited one year!! really wanted one last year. my family has a reputation of having new stuff first. depends on what CNH does to my 8010 I may trade it on a 580r you don't know I said never but maybe a 9860. I've had enough 2388's I want to run 12 row heads and they are not big enough. (I had the first 2+2 around here as well)

Talked to one of the larger combine suppliers of red combines in NW Kansas the other day. He imformed me the first of these 8010's they will get in to sell to farmers will be spring of 2006. They did have one in, demoed it in the field for the guys. Guess it really did well on the first day. AFter that weather was mucky from drizzle. I suspect by the time they get all the bugs figured out and fixed it will run like a singer sewing machine. Got to learn a little patience Tony. Of course, I can sympethize with the unreliability of a machine of that value. As the ole saying goes though..........chuckle.........better you than me. (smile) Good luck getting it all fixed right.

Farmertony, first im curious to know what state you live inIJ Now about your control psi problem. Hre are some things to check, when your control psi is only 250 is that with the adj screw turned allthe way inIJ Cold psi should be 360, hot oil you should get 330, with the eng. full throttle the psi should not fluctuate, if it does, replace the control press. regulater valve. It is simular to comp. valve on 2300s.(or principle). Now if your psi drops below 200 your bypass valve in the filter base could close. understand that control psi is used for; fdr, sep, unloader, and hydrostatic controls. So I say this, TSG should already know this plus proper test procedures. And if your service techs cannot "GET IT" then they better get educated right quick!

Just to make you feel better, I know some the test engineers on the 8010, they told me that the "higher ups" were pushing the combine to be put into production, but he knew that they needed one more year of testing. Guess they don't care about customer satisfaction, just want your money.
