the feeder on a 8010 is not like a 2388 I know it's been done but not how they did it if I was you i'd just get new caseih heads for it the combine works with the heads if something goes wrong with the header height it tells you in the monitor in the combine. when you hook up the head it tells the combine to switch settings a very nice feature

Just curious When going from beans- corn......corn-beans how long does it take one person to change over ive gotten pretty good with the 2388 and it doesn't take long...a couple min...it seems like depends on how the bolts break lose and go on the feeder house drum stops also how are those machines to clean at the end of the yearIJ

Harv's Farm Supply has a Bish adapter to put a JD head on a 8010. Site has several pictures of a JD cornhead on a 8010.

Well if you would all tell your dealers and manufacturers that you'd like them to support ASAE Header Standardization proposal per paper 055008 then this would not be such a problem in the future. More headers from all manufacturers would then be designed to interface with header trailers and feederhouses the same, similar to 3 point hitch equipment behind tractors today.

Might have went cheap because of location no offense but stuff from down south normally is kinda ruff

The only other one I know that sold at auction was in NCIowa. About the same hours, brought 150,000. Some low houred 2388's have been in the 130-140,000 range. Anyone know how much differance in new price they areIJ

I agree about the equipment down here, compared to northern equipment, but these machines were in excellent condition
