Combines Accelerator Rolls

Actually it is the raddle chains - front and rear. It has the Manchester raddle bars. So I am told.

N7's don't have raddles. likely Are you meaning the feeder chains, which are available all over the place from aftermarket people and salvage yards.

Thanks - As you can tell I know nothing about he N series machines. I called the owner and he cleared it up. It is the feeder house chains. I am going to take a look at this machine as it is for sale.

There is a picture in the operators manual or the service manual that shows when snapping rolls need replacement. However, I believe the general consensus is to replace them before they get that bad. In our family my son was very successful doing new things when he said one very important sentence, I will do the work. We always worked together but the reassurance that he would stick with the project to the very end was motivation for me to do whatever he suggested. Earlier he tended to lose interest when a project took longer than we had planned and I ended up finishing the work myself. Does any of this sound familiarIJ Good luck Tom in MN

I try to get my sister to invite my dad to her place. (200 miles away).. Or you could buy a airline ticket to his favorite place.... (one way of course) lol.....

I always pay for and do all of our mainteance work. Dad just believes that if the factory put it their, you shouldn't take it out unless it's broke. By the way, my sister lives next door to me, so that would not work. Thanks for the replys and all the other info on this site. Mike

A good place for good quality accelerator rolls is Abilene Machine.

Yep, same with my dad. Once every blue moon he gets the idea that we can make something better. He starts pulling something apart, then gets bored and moves somewhere else on the machine and pulls something else apart.... When you want to get rid of pop, the best way is your local (hopefully not to local) friendly Agco dealer. I send mine for parts. He weaves all over, looks at other peoples fields, stops at the gas station for coffee, talks to everyone at the dealership, drives home, forgot the part, darn, heads back. 8 hours later, mission accomplished.

You are correct. Sounds like yours are worn a little past replacement time already.

I agree. Accelerator rolls are too important to let them go until the metal rib shows. Tom in MN
