All that power would call for larger belts, pulleys and bearings to accomidate all the added torque or the machine would literally blow up. 95man

he has a good Idea, he could use a 25 hp Briggs and Stratton to drive the main drive! This would easily save 10 hp on the machine drive engine! Just being sarcastic, whoever thought that idea up doesn't have much experience with combines.

Hey, what a good idea!! Maybe try a New Holland engine for the cutterhead and a CIH for the wheels! NO need to repaint them either.

Don't laugh to loud. Rumor has it that a major short line manufacturer in Iowa is putting together a combine with two cummins engine's, two CIH 2388 size rotors, four rubber tracks, articulate frame, huge grain tank and 16 row head. Might be painted Blue!!
