Andy, actually according to the CIH service tech that inspected our combine a couple weeks ago our 2388 has a Rochelle rotor in it.. You might recall on RPF last fall I made a couple posts about it not sounding or acting like the spec. rotor we had in the 2366. Guess there was a reason..........lol. According to records of the store it was bought new at they did not put the rotor in it and as far as they know it came with it in it as all work done it before we bought it was done there. This machine has been kind of an oddball from the get go. Machine is an '02 by serial n but has several features that supposedly weren't available until the '03s. Have learned that even though we have the correct parts manual for our serial n that it's best to take the part along as usually it's different, especially belts. the spec rotor in the 2366 didn't give us near the problems as the conventional diod in the 1660. Spent 1_2 day pulling a corn rope out of the 60 that was 4' long and close to 4" in diameter:~(. IHboog handshelled some corn today and it tested 27.5% on the elevator's testerbut he said it looked wetter than that. So probably would go at least 30% ran thru the combine so looks like it will be awhile before we do anything. He did say stalk quality was poor so may have to shell it sooner than we want.
