He either works for or owns John Bob which is a New Holland dealer in Saskatchewan. If I had my choice it would be an R75 Gleaner. like a Massey, they actually thought when they designed it. The farm I work on has a TR88. A pain in the A$$ to work on. A 6yr old combine shouldn't need $10,000_yr to keep it going. That's New Holland for ya. There having second thoughts on weather they will stay NH. Take care, Nathan

Hmmm. Probably a JD 9860. I have friends who each have different combines 1.A 9760 STS 2.A CR 940 and 3.an 8010. The CR blew off injector lines and the pipe going to the turbo fell off. they had to get there old TR 96 back to help finnish. The other guys with the 8010s had too many problems to begin to mention. But they weren't happy to say the least. The MFs and Gleaners are too "tinny" and have horrible resale value (here anyways). The guy I know with the STSs said they were great machines and had no trouble at all. We've also had great luck with our JDs and have been burned by other brands before. My opinion anyways. Merry Chistmas.

What part of Australia are you in. I worked on a farm near Biloela QlD for a while back in 97. Had a blast.

I just caught on that you posted on all the directory sites. Seems to me Case-Ih has the least loyalty or at least more of their owners are willing to voice there could possibly be better than what they currently own. Do you think that is because of the problems the 8010 is having solely, or because people are losing faith in the CNH company, itselfIJ

Maybe the red guys are just more open mined, mabe the red guys do not ware red shorts like some of the competion farmers and how come is there way more talk on the red page than other pages just asking no offence meantIJ And Steamboat Will has the best combine idea to bad nobody makes it.

That's about perfect, but I still like the color red if it won't fade. Merry Christmas, Pat

Actually, most of the posters were wishing for class 7 and 8 combines and CNH's is not ready for prime time whereas the others are either existing models or evolutions of earlier models (not redesigns). CNH class 7_8 machines are not quite ready. It seems to me that the sts JD combines have only recently become excellent machines; however, they may have had fewer show stopper problems than the 8010.

I think you hit it right on the head. they are more open minded, and don't wear "red underwear".
