G'Day Just to comment on the Posifeed rollers! As a very cheap option I would highly recommend that you install TWO (2) posifeed rollers in to your machine as I would think that they would Really help in improving the feeding! We have two Rollers in our 94 R62 and found absolutely no problems with feeding at all in Wheat ,Barley and lentils!!!! 8 to 10 kms_hr in wheat and lentils and the best I could do at 27 lbs boost with 260 hp in barley was around 12 kms_hr this is with a 30 ft flex 500 front with some mods and a hyperized combine very similar to what you have but with standard rotor. If you are interested in the posifeed I can put you on to the right bloke! PS: Im only recommending this product because it "WORKS" and Steve is the original inventor of the design!! Regards Rolf Hedt

I really enjoy the "souped up" combine reports. Those rotories (Gleaner of course) must be something to be reckoned with when properly "tuned".I've never had much respect for them until I found this site and learned their true design advantages.Makes me kinda want one.Too bad though,I don't think my 80 acre part time farm will support one. Guess I better take good care of the F2.Thanks to all who have the vision to modify and improve the "engineer's design" and being willing to share your ideas_experiences.

Rolf sent me some pics of the posifeed to be added to the Hyper mod site. One of these days I reckon I might get around to actually updating the site! Stay tuned.... Tom langan

G'Day Kurt Tom might post some pictures that i sent to him of the Posifeed rollers on the upgrade site sometime!! Farmer friend (Steven Schulz) that lives 40 k's away developed them for his Case 1640 as he was having feeding troubles (seems like they all do!!!!) anyway he Modified his feed drum so as to have a triangle tube with round rings were the feed chains run, now he has a manufacture making them for him and they are now under patent pending, There has been some "Copies" been made by a couple of dealers over here which has caused some 'problems'!!!! but Steven Schulz is the inventor. We ended up putting two in to ours as 1, nobody had done that, and 2, only made common sense for us to put two in to our R62, It has really made a difference in barley as that would repeat around the table auger, still doses a bit but at 12 kms_hr max. Im not to worried about it and I think I need to make the rear posifeed roller run a bit closer to the front feed sprockets so as to grab the material coming up the feeder house, ND Dans idea of opening up the throat some at the back sounds like a bloody good idea to me as we are starting to get a lot marital stuffed up that feeder now with all our hyper ideas, and anything to help is what is needed!! Now! I reckon if all us Gleaner pilot's were talking about a different colour we still be making them out perform the standard machine!!!! IMO Rolf

A '97 should have the feeder shocks. Gleaner campaigned the '97 machines to get them installed. There has been W-ring guide rings introduced since and your machine would accept them. Were you having some sort of problemIJ There has been plenty of talk on feeders latly if you look back aways. Ask if you have particular problem and can't find it. Have a good one.

Why would it be totally rebuilt at 450 hoursIJ That would make me wander about the hour meter. I have 2 R72s that have way more hours on them then that and they havent been rebuilt.I have 1400 hours on the 98 and it still has most all of its original parts. I did put cylinder bars onit last year.I do need to do some work on it,but 1400 is a long way from 450. I would ask why it was rebuilt. 80,000 without headsIJIJIJIJIJ IG

Have to agree with you, Illinois Gleaner. New tires, a lot of rebuildIJ Makes me wonder if it was in a wreck or a fire.
