What is your go to? Do you find that you season your meat more with spices, a rub or by marinating it? We have been experimenting with all three. We are pretty new to rubs.
Steak is delicious all by itself, but sometimes I fancy it up with a dry rub. My favorite blend is smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and some garlic. It makes for a nice smoky flavor.
@The Rutherford Family, that's one reason why I raise my own chickens. The stuff from the store doesn't cut it.
Good steak doesn't need it but I think roast do need some spicing up. I use garlic for many things. I've never used smoked paprika before. I'll have to look for that in the store. Thanks for the tip!
We mostly use rubs. We make our own by combining ingredients and spices. I like to try new things so we experiment a lot. My husband likes to just use spices when I leave him in charge.
