I know Massey has many firsts also, it's just that we're proud Allis was a leader and not a follower like JD. Other Allis innovations: rotating PTO shield, multiple v-belt drive (banded v-belts),power adjust wheel spacing (I've seen a lot of Massey tractors with these type of wheels),round baler, no-till planter, rubber tires on tractors, front unload manure spreader (look at Knight, Gehl and New Holland spreaders now). This is history and has nothing to do with AGCO, but A-C was the only company in the democratic world with the ability to build a hydroelectric power plant from start to finish. They had cement kilns, crawlers, turbines and generators. Even today the mighty CAT, GE, GM and JD can't do that...
