Yes, you have an excellent planter. If going for a 7720 or similar combine close the concave to zero and then check for clearance under the cylinder. A neighbor bought an 800 hr. machine ( supposedly )and had 2 inches clearance at the 2nd concave bar. The JD mechanic said that machine likely had 3000 hours on it,be wise, be careful, good luck! Yes those can be good combines as well as many others, some makes require much more maintainence than other makes.

Nod: I am not a believer in rotary combines AT All, but if I was going to buy one, I'd buy a "Silver Pheasant Feeder", as they are called around here. They have a Cummins engine...that would be a big selling point for me!

get a NH TR96 if you can afford one. they should get cheaper after the introduction of the CR. a 96 will be a lot better than an older one, because they dont have overlapping rotors.
