If you don't care about the comfort, stay with a skid steer. They're proven. And ground damage can be mitigated by the way you drive it.
That's how I view it at least.
Has anyone here considered starting and maintaining a blog of all things farming? Kind of a condensed go-to for people so they don't have to spend so much time researching all the various aspects of farming/agriculture?
Clean up the rotting fruit on the ground, leaves and anything else on the ground around the trees. This is a good time to prune the branches, shave off any dead wood on the trunk, etc...
You basically want to keep them clean and trimmed so pests aren't so attracted to them.
The bigger one gets the more they need a lawyer on retainer. From what I've seen, small famers would only cause small legal problems that you can just talk out with local authorities. The bigger you get, the more complicated things get and the more problems can surface, hence the need for a lawyer.
There are pros and cons to unions, no doubt, but how do you see it? Do the pros outweigh the cons to the point where you would join one given the chance?
No plans to celebrate......I'll leave all that to the younger ones. Midnight is way past my bedtime these days. LOL I did get excited about it when I was much younger though.
Power tools are off limits.....hand tools are fair game. Everyone who knows me knows this, so they know better than to ask for something that's off limits.
If you were in a position to where you could, would you hire help around your farm/ranch/operation?
People need work, but this Corona virus is spreading faster than ever right now.
I would wait. I'm skeptical by nature as it is, and this is an easy one to be skeptical about. Besides, I got deathly ill back in February and I have a sneaking suspicion that it was the Covid before anyone knew much about it. I think I might be immune.
LOL. You're sweet. Companies like Duracell don't partner with tool companies because they, the battery people, can make more money by selling the batteries separately.
Next year just wrap the batteries separately and have him open those "presents" first. LOL
When the silk just starts to turn brown. I was told this by a field supervisor one year when I was about 14. There was crew of us out there to harvest their crop by hand. She told us this was more a rule of thumb than a law set in stone. But all these years later, I'm sure it still applies.
Does anyone think that if there were more women in the agriculture industry that things would be different? Like a change in the numbers of corporate farms for example?
Put some vodka in it. Vodka doesn't freeze! :D
The poor mans solution is to find a way to keep the water moving. Ponds freeze faster than rivers, for example.
I would have taken it more seriously. I cared about what I was doing of course, but I didn't fully appreciate the importance of it all from both a social and personal standpoint.
There is always a second go round though. :)
Try to get it replaced with a refund. Go to their website and see how to go about that. When I go to Home Depot I always choose to get a receipt emailed to me. I always have one in case something like this comes up.
As I'm sure they're out there somewhere, but I have yet to hear about them. If given the chance would you participate in one? I mean, if there were an expo in Virginia but you couldn't go because you were in Oregon, well, here's your chance. Am I right?
There is nothing more important than the family getting together for dinner time. This is something that still holds true today.
We all have different times of the evening that suit us best, so, what time is best for you?
What time is dinner?
