USDA Approves Program to Feed Kids in Alabama

These USDA funding programs have been going on since before the virus hit. I wonder if the current stimulus packages they are handing out because of the virus, are adding to that or not. I ask because we here about funding going to X part of the economy, but not Y. (This part)

    Time To Mouse Proof

Spring is here and this is when those rodents like to appear. Spring and fall typically. What steps do you typically take to mouse proof your buildings?

    Coronavirus a zoonotic disease?

I go with the bat theory because those are some very disease ridden birds. I also refer to the CDC website for any questions about this. Anything else will simply be someone else's interpretation of the same information I get from that source.

    2006 Duramax Allison Transmission Problems

If it's running cold it is prone to that behavior. Any codes ever pop up? Give it a code diagnostic and see if anything pops up.

    A multipurpose agricultural machine

Simplifying the process in this regard means bringing out a computer technician anytime something goes wrong with the equipment. I'm not a fan of that.

    How Is Everyone Doing?

How has the Corona virus affected what you do for a living? If you work in a critical services industry, which one? If not, how are you doing these days?

    The Ag Industry Is Safe

I don't think the designation will ever be lifted no matter how bad things get. Like the medical industry. These are two industries that keep people alive. The way things work might change to keep the workers healthy, but the show will go on. It has to.

How To Thaw A Frozen Pipe Underground

I'm assuming this is a water pipe? If you have access, start with cold water. Hot water might damage it. You don't want the temperature difference to be too much

    John Deere Fault Codes Reset

The industry has made it to where you pretty much have to have Deere come out and do it. With passenger vehicles there are devices you can buy to do that, but not with this.

    Climate Change And Global Warming

Climate change is just that: A change in the climate. The last ice age was caused by a change in the climate. It happens. The climate goes through cycles from where it's good for other life forms to bad, then back to good. Antarctica is a perfect example of this. Yes, man makes a difference...

    Global food security

I would bet that if we fix the supply chain of the food grown, we could also help the environment. I have no numbers to back that up, it's just a hunch. We have more than enough food for everyone in the world. What we have is a supply chain problem. That's why people are starving in Africa...

    Get Diesel Out Of Clothes

Fire will get 100% of the smell off the clothes and, because of the diesel, it's easy to get. LOL I use Tide all the time and it's good for gasoline. Can't speak to diesel though.

Do You Have A Plan B?

If you make a living farming, do you have a back-up plan if things go south? Like being a mechanic on your property or a sales rep in town? As examples.

Are Snap On Tools Worth The Money

Snap On is definitely worth the money. When I first started out I used to do the garage sales for tools, then Harbour Freight. Now that I can afford it I buy Snap On and Craftsman. Good tools are an investment.

    Wal-Mart Enters Beef Industry

It sounds like a good deal if they don't take it too far. In other words, don't get greedy and want to take over the food source in America.

    Do you have flood insurance?

It's only mandatory in Wisconsin if you live in a flood plain. Illinois is the same I believe. Even if you don't, it's a good idea. Storm systems coming in from the Rockies can be brutal.

    How Many Cows Per Bull

If you're just starting out with this, go 10 to 15. At least I would. A smaller number will mean less overhead costs and if things don't work out, you wont lose as much.

Knee High By The Fourth Of July

That's an old saying. Really old in fact. When you use the human body as a gauge for measuring, you know it's an old way of doing things. Like measuring distance on land by your gait. While you're walking, each stride is roughly 3 feet long

Want To Move To St. Johns Newfoundland?

Thanks for the offer, but my passport has expired. LOL We get enough of that up here. Those poor people though. How do you dig out of 6 feet of snow?

This Is The Type Of Business You Want To Frequent

I'm not making a sales pitch or anything, but this is the mom and pop type operation I like dealing with. It's local, family owned and the prices are fair. It may be a throwback to older times, but there's nothing wrong with that.
