  3. Backyard poultry

Geese are raised for meat and/or eggs. We didn't raise them for either, we just liked having them around. They act as great watchdogs. They make quite a ruckus of someone they don't know shows up at the farm.
  4. Backyard poultry

The chickens, guinea fowl and ducks all pretty much ignore each other. So do the geese, unless one of the others get in their way, which is rare. And even then, the geese just chase the others, they never hurt them.
  5. Cost Of Pods Vs Uhaul

We moved a few months ago. The great thing about pods is that you can take your time moving your stuff in them and then you have the company move them and you can take your time unloading them. It takes away the frantic-ness of moving. I'm not sure about the cost, but it worked for us.

I have raised chickens, ducks and guinea fowl together with no problems. Geese are very aggressive, and though we've had geese, I never raised them with chickens, ducks and guinea fowl.

  18. Some designing work

When we had our dairy goat farm we hired someone to design our logo and signs. We're not computer savy enough to do it ourselves.
  19. Best starter livestock

I allow my chickens to free range. In the spring, summer and early fall, they don't even need feed, they eat bugs and ticks and help my farm pest free without pesticides. However, that exposes them to predators, of course. It's a trade off. Roosters typically don't do a very good job of...
  20. Best starter livestock

I also name all of my animals and consider them all pets. But my wife and I quickly learned that what we heard was true with chickens, the ones with names are the first to get picked off. It doesn't happen with other animals, just chickens. When we had a dairy goat farm, we had 120 goats...
