Our vet is amazing! We have two actually. They are amazing at their jobs. We are actually friends and that helps too. I totally trust the information that they give me. I can't imagine having animals and not liking your vet.

That's the same reason that we clean ours up too, to avoid pests. I also think it is easier right after the season instead of waiting until the new season to rip the old plants out.

Right now in this economy, is it easier or harder to get a loan? We passed up on one last year but we could use one now (to buy a large piece of farm equipment). I hope it's still available and that the economy hasn't crumbled too much.

I'm glad we put ours on because we were part of that Nor'easter storm at the end of last week. Some parts near us got up to 3 feet of snow. We only got 13 inches! We even had a snow day from school.

Anyone involved in this program? We donated 5 wreaths towards this. That is the reason that we got involved in making them this year. We went down and laid several wreaths at the local VA cemetery.

Well we sold 23 of these, which I think is a great start for our new adventure. I let my daughter keep half of the profit. I can't wait to do this next year. We are going to head to Michael's craft store right after Christmas to get clearance items to put on the wreaths next year.

Wow, sounds like you guys are all doing great things! 60 days sick pay is amazing! We are only doing 20 but if someone needs more I am sure we would work with them. We did $50 and a ham this year. We're small so that is our normal.

Daycare centers around here are still open. My kids don't go to daycare though, they stay home. The virtual learning is a struggle but it's a fun struggle here. I would agree that my biggest problem is missing people and events. I know it will get better so I am trying to make the best of it.

My husband is always rubbing his hands and I know they hurt. He won't complain but I know he could use some better winter gloves. What are you wearing? They have to be able to allow him to do chores at the farm.

The winter is a big deal here. We have to make sure the animals are warm, fed more (they can't graze in the snow) and keep their water from freezing. Keeping us warm isn't a big deal, the big deal is the animals.

I definitely would plant these wild phlox in a ditch or a flower bed. They spread too much to be planted in a pot. I don't think they would grow and get the nutrients they need. Do they like the creeping phlox too?

I'm in agreement with Roo. You should always clean it and fill it with something before returning it. It's just common courtesy. If it was a gift, you can keep the container.

Oh yeah, we have black bear around here too. I've seen them traveling through our woods. The most damage they have done is tear apart the garbage and rip down my bird feeders.

My daughter and I threw our hat into making wreaths this year. We have a farmer friend that sells trees. He is giving us the scraps and cuttings for free. It's been quite the adventure so far.

I didn't know that was that many varieties of poinsettias. I would love to know more about these. I am going to try to grow mums next year to sell. I am really not a fan of poinsettias though.
