@Henderson Thanks for the giggle! We made a large amount of finger foods to eat. It was crazy bad for us! We do this every year, a tradition for us. We stayed in and played games and watched the celebration on television.

Square dancing makes me think of grade school and gym class. It sounds fun though! We went white water rafting last year, it was a blast! In the summer we like to Yak (go kayaking) and hike our woods. We also visit with other farming families.

When I can't sleep, I exercise. Exercising always makes me tired. If that doesn't help, try reading. I have fallen asleep many times while reading a book. I hope you're able to sleep soon.

I agree with Birdie. Ducks and chickens are just dirty and the dirty water won't harm them. I mean, it doesn't sound dirty (harmful, bacteria, etc.). I would change the water every few days. It's a shame you didn't get more direction on the care of these ducks.

What age do you think is the right age for a gun for your child? What type would you start them out with? My son has been asking and that got my daughter asking. I have no issues with both but I'm not sure if they are ready.

We do our own books (day to day doings). We have an accountant that we give all of our receipts and everything to at the end of the year. No way am I doing our farm taxes. Our personal ones are one thing, but the business ones - no thanks.

We are looking at all the maintenance logs to see what needs to be done. We do power wash all the equipment, twice a year. My husband says it keeps it newer longer. I guess that makes sense to me too.
