Combines 8010

Feature and engineering wise there is no comparison. The 8010 has it all over the Deere. The CVT drives for the feeder and rotor leaves the Deere waning for sure. Throw in the self leveling cleaning system ,tailings threshing system, configurable touch screen display, data bus communications system,a far superior chopping and spreading system, about a dozen fewer belts, and a host of other features that leave no doubt of the 8010's superiority. It is one very impressive machine.

8010 has the features, only problem is Case stopped production because of down time failures. Too many unhappy customers. My guess is you want the machine that will stay in the field, the Deere or older Case.

Was 2003 a full production year for 8010'sIJ 2003 was the 1st full production run of CR combines for NH. In 2002 only 60+ CR were hand built. So I wonder if the 8010 was really afull run or not. What was the cause of the fires on 8010s IJ

Who are these unhappy customersIJ The 2 8010's that ran in my area certainly did not disappoint their owners. In fact one of the owners purchased a second 8010. The 8010 had it's growing pains it's first year for sure(so didn't the STS)but that's why CaseIH limited it's production run. They've taken the right track all along with the 8010. Realibility will not be a issue.

They told me(a CIH company guy) the cause of the fires was a steel bearing dust cover on the chopper. They changed it to a plastic one now so no more fires. About a $1 worth could burn up a $250,000 combine. 2004 will be a full run of the 8010's. I'm not sure if they can build CR's and 8010's at the same timeIJ They may do some and then the otherIJ Ilnh
