I just checked the caseih.com website and it's on there along with the 2366 and 2388. I looked under the North American part of the site, don't know if that would make any difference.

The hyd. resevoir holds 15 gallon HyTran. The PTO gearbox also supplies part of the oil that goes through some of the piping that you see. Also the pipes are much more noticeable since they are not painted. This is done to aid in heat dissipation since paint would insulate.

try not getting to use a 12 row corn head out for this year. adapter plates may not get made for fall harvest. that's enough to throw a hammer at the salesman. todays info.

What head are you trying to adaptIJ I can only assume that you have gotten in touch with Harv's or some other adapter place. If you trying to adapt a 1293 or something like that it's not that hard really. Or I could sell you a folding 12 row Harvestec head. E-mail me if interested Will Bier hbierco@adams.net

I don't own one (yet),but I did have the opportunity to spend a day demoing one last fall. We were in 185bu_acre corn and we consistantly ran 5.5mph with near zero loss. The more we experimented with the settings towards the end of the day our ground speed was increasing while keeping the loss to a minimum. I don't honestly believe there is another machine that can out run the AFX8010 in corn. For every situation some operators discuss how a 9860STS ran laps around the AFX8010 I can find just as many situations where the AFX ran laps around the STS....the bottom line is the AFX8010, the 9860STS, the CR970, and the CAT480 are all huge machines with huge power and capacity....and it's becomming more of a problem to keep these machines full than anything else. Base your decision on the dealer, demo's, and the price (and when I priced the 9860STS and the AFX8010 they are just about even when equipped the same) not the stories you hear from internet farmers.

Very, very well said, and good advise as well. I think there are alot of "internet farmers" out here!

We are having a few problems with the 8010 the control preasure is set to low from the factory we turned both of ours up it is easy to do. There are a few monitor problems but nothing serious. We are having feeder clutch trouble that they cant fix. they put shims behind the springs(80 thou) and it did help a bit we took off two oposing bars on the stone beater and that helped a bit but it is just a bandaid for now. We are running a 460 cat that is in its 5th harvest and it so far isnt falling behind a great deal. We are in central alberta where are you at
